Son of Town Hall

Whilst crossing the Atlantic on a raft, Santa Fe’s David Berkeley and London’s Ben Parker crafted songs of wonder, woe, heartbreak, and hope. Jump aboard.

I was commissioned to produce a set of illustrations for the inner sleeve for the CD and Vinyl of Son of Town Hall’s album “The Adventures of Son of Town Hall”.

David Berkeley of SOTH had crafted a story of how the duo formed and gathered various musicians along during their adventures together, eventually forming the sound of SOTH.

The elaborate tale of two drifting musician’s is set in the 1800’s and the tale presented as an old newspaper article. I was asked to illustrate the story with the era in mind, providing illustrations for various events that take place in the story, alongside illustrated advertisements that were relevant to the time period.

These illustrations were hand-drawn with a dipping pen and ink.
