Backbeat Soundsystem’s lead vocalist, main songwriter and producer Dean Forest, approached me to illustrate/design the album cover for the bands first full-length album back in 2014.Together Not Apart showcases the unique sounds of this up-tempo funky reggae 8-piece.
I worked closely with Dean on ideas and it was decided that for their first full-length album it would have an image that would identify the bands genre and reflect the vibrant summery sound of Backbeat Soundsystem.
This image is a mix of watercolour and pencil.
